The colours for the day were blue, black and grey — and there was no doubt in anyone's mind that this was a blue Rusinga event. Unlike popular belief, the best way to bring out the boldness of a colour is not in overusing it, but in providing a background that will enhance its visual appeal in the areas where you decide to use it. Note how the white provides a laid-back background that highlights the presence of the blue and black.
Use of the semi-clear A-frame tent allowed for awesome distribution of light that is a dream come true for any photographer and videographer. Those joining the hybrid event online could literally read the 'Best in English' pins on their kin and watch as the band took to their airwaves. The tent also has the capacity to host numerous guests, meaning each child could have a cheerleading team in the crowd — and honestly, nothing could make them happier.
Whenever you have awards at an event, a raised stage and a red carpet are almost a must. The scene was set up beautifully with a red carpet all through the walkways in the tent, with queue stands leading to the stage. Each award recipient felt like a VIP walking down the red carpet and onto the stage, with their image projected not only on the two large LED screens at the front but also at home through the live link. They were legends for the day, and it felt like the whole world was there to see it.
